Rice Cereal

Dr. Cochrin told us that since he is sun downing that we could start some rice cereal in the evenings. Here are some pictures of our first 2 days of rice cereal. He will only take about 10 bites and then he is done. We started rice cereal on september 8th.

Sweet Pea is 2 months old!

Preston had his 2 month checkup on Tuesday. He weights 11 lbs and 9 oz. He is 24 1/4 inches long. He is growing like a weed. He was in the 77 % for height, 59% in head and only 41% in weight. He is long and skinny. Sorry i have not updated this over the last month we have had some much going on i just have not had the time. here are some pictures of him since we have gotten home. My boys watching football.

First Vacation

Preston and I went to New Mexico to see my family. It was great. Preston did very well on his first plane ride. He slept for the first flight and was more awake on the second one. He only cried for a total of 5 minutes due to mom delaying him nursing because we were either going to start our decent or about to take off. At the airport we were greated by Neal, Dande and Phil. Here is a picture of preston in his new car seat at dande's. My luggage did not make the flight which was a concern since we went through all of the clothes that i pack in the diaperbag by the time we touched down in Roswell at 10:40 am. Oh well my luggage finally made it at 5:30 and we did not have any more accidents. On wednesday, everyone came over to visit and i got to hang out with my aunt Cindy, Noel and Holly. (dont know why i dont have any pictures sorry). Thursday we went to the mountains to see Dande's new place. It was lots of fun. Preston got to see an 8 point buck. He also got to enjoy the new couch that got delivered on thursday night. We also stopped at the race track to take some pictures of the mountains and the race horses. On Friday, Preston got to meet his cousin Jeff, aunt nancy and his great grandmother Grams. We hung out at Cindy's house all evening but had to leave early since momma was tired.
On Saturday we went to breakfast with the gang at Martin's and Ms. Betty gave me a bottle so momma could eat. That evening we had a birthday/anniversary party at dande's. Trisha, Marvin and the kids came.
On Sunday we had a meeting for the water company. The meeting was long and then we went back to Dande's and rested.
On Monday we got to spend some quality time with Gayla and Sherrill.
On Tuesday we went to the preschool and got to meet some of my aunts coworkers.

Here is little sweet pea getting ready to get back on the plane to come home to see daddy. He was a great traveler. I hope he continues to be this way. We had a great time seeing everyone and we are looking forward for christmas!!!!!

Preston is one month old!!!!

Here are some picture of preston over the last month. We had lots of visitors over the last month. With all of my family. Bryan's family is coming out on the 13th and then Preston and I leave on the 18 to go to NM to see the rest of the family. This has been a great month and looking forward the the next one! After getting home from the hospital!

Preston in his bed on his one month birthday. He slept 9:30 to 4 am. It was a great birthday present for momma!

Sleeping in his own crib

On Monday night Bryan and I gave our Sweet P a bath, I nursed him and then we put him in his own room. We laid him down at 1030 and he slept until 3 am before he got up again to nurse. This has been a great thing now that all of us are getting at least 4 to 5 hours of sleep a night between nursings. Preston is a very noisy sleeper. He grunts and groans and makes this noise like he is clearing his throat.

Bryan, Preston and I just hung out last weekend. We did leave preston with his mena to go and see Harry Potter but i was so ready to get home to my baby. We have been adjusting to not having extra hands around the house but we are adjusting. Here is a picture of the boys taking a nap!

Well we got home on Monday July 6th but we had to go back to the docter because Preston had high levels of bilirubin when we discharged. His levels were 10.5 and as long as they were under 13 we could go home. We went back to the doctor on Wednesday to check his bilirubin and his levels were 19. When levels are near 24 it can cause brain damage. Preston was put on a belly bed for 3 days. This was the hardest part of having him home and not being able to hold him. We could only take him out when he needed to be fed and then back under the lights. He had to be under the lights for 20-22 hours a day. They checked his levels on thursday and they were at 14.9 and on friday they were 12.1. Finally i was able to hold my baby. Here is a picture of him in his belly bed.

A very special 4th of July

I just wanted to update the blog real fast to let everyone know that Preston Michael has arrived. He was born on July 4th at 459 pm. He weighs in at 8 lbs and 15 oz and 20 1/2 inches long. We are all doing well. Here are a few pictures to hold people over until i can write more.

38 week down 7 days to go!!!!!

Okay we went back to the doctor today. I am measuring at 43 weeks. My blood pressure was 130/82. We got to do another ultrasound and Preston weights about 8 lbs. Doctor does not want to induce me until next week due to boys not being as healthy as little girls and they might have some difficulties with breathing. Dr. Fiore is going to induce me on July 7th at 4 am. Thats really early but its either that or go in the night before. I am not going to be able to sleep so i might as well be at home and comfortable for a few hours instead of being at the hospital. My swelling is still really bad but the Dr promised it would go away whe he is born. Sorry no pictures but i will put some up soon of the back porch!

Nursery

Okay so i finally put up pictures and set up the nursery. I know that family has been wanting to see the final project so here it is. On the wall with the rocking chair we are going to put a large mirror that says God Bless Little Boys Preston Michael. I dont have a mirror right now that has a white frame and so that will be my project tomorrow. Today I got all the things hung up and rearranged the closet. We also got approved by the doctor that we wanted so Preston will be seeing Dr. Stewart!!!!!!

37 weeks and counting

I had an appointment today. I am measuring at 39 1/2 weeks. I have alot of water retention. My blood pressure is 120/82. This is much better but i am starting to show signs of protien in my urine. But now the good stuff. I am still 1 cm and 70% efaced. You know those checks are not very much fun. Apparently Preston's head has started his decent. They did not tell me a number but I do know that they had to push his head out of their way to check me. I have my next appointment on June 30th and at that time we will schedule my induction date if he does not come by then. Will keep everyone posted. I am still really swollen like Fred Flintstone.

To The River We Go

Bryan and I took the dogs down to the river today since this might be the last time we make it down to the river before the baby comes. Odis loved the river. Purdy just liked getting her feet wet but did not like swimming. I stood on the bank of the river and just watched the dogs and Bryan play. Here are some photos.
